From Wednesday evening on, a raku kiln building seminar with Stefan Jakob took place here. Today will be additional firings, if requested.

12 different timbers - 12 different types of fly ash?
Students of 3 vocational schools (Landshut, Höhr-Grenzhausen and Heide) will show what surfaces different European timbers give. For that before and during the conference 10 or 12 mini anagamas with each 60 litres (2,12 cuft) will be built and fired for at least 24 hours with one kind of timber each: pine, spruce, larch, birch, willow, poplar, alder, oak, copper beech, lime tree, chestnut and ash.
