MEETING PLACE

At the ‘meeting place’ there will be lots of information, a book stand with international books on wood firing, the offical wood fire conference t-shirts, magazines and more.

DEMO-AREA
Since a few days: the firing of the ‘little ripper kiln’, a workshop with Owen Rye. The end of the firing will probably be around 7.30 pm.

SHEEPFOLD
The raku kiln building seminar with Stefan Jakob has been taking place here since Wednesday. The firing will be on.

12 different timbers - 12 different types of fly ash?
Students of 3 vocational schools (Landshut, Höhr-Grenzhausen and Heide) will show what surfaces different European timbers give. For that before and during the conference 10 or 12 mini anagamas with each 60 litres (2,12 cuft) will be built and fired for at least 24 hours with one kind of timber each: pine, spruce, larch, birch, willow, poplar, alder, oak, copper beech, lime tree, chestnut and ash.

SMALL SEMINAR ROOM
4 pm Meeting of the European organisations and institutions, that are concerned with wood firing:
The Log Book, ICS Keszkemet, ICRC Guldagergaard, Estonian Ceramists Association, Laburadow Ceramic Centre, HDK – Högskolan för Design och Konsthantverk, Ringebu (Sweden), CCCLB (La Borne), Kalkspatz e.V., YIWA ( Young International Woodfirers Association), maybe also IAC.
The organised exchange of knowledge will enable a better and more extensive connection of the activ participants. The result could be the creation of European wood fire network as well as answer the question of who will organise the next conference.
